This is a very good cover of ‘Want You To Want Me,’ originally performed by Jason Derulo. I would say it’s at least as good as the original.
Boyce Avenue is a band formed in Florida consisting of three brothers, Alejandro, Fabian, and Daniel Manzano. The band formed after the oldest brother, Daniel, returned to Sarasota after graduating from Harvard Law School. His brothers were attending the University of Florida at the time, but the three of them decided to make a go at making it as a band.
Boyce Avenue, named after streets they grew up on, primarily made a name for themselves through YouTube. In fact, having never performed in New York before, in 2009 they booked a concert venue for themselves and trusted their fan base to fill the place up. They weren’t disappointed, selling the venue out.
Interestingly, the brothers were hired in 2012 to be vocal coaches on The X Factor. Obviously the brothers have turned high heads.
The band was signed to a record label for a time, but now release their music through their own label. The band has been managing to tour throughout the world nevertheless, consistently drawing on their YouTube fame to fill up venues. Indeed, the band has 7.7 million subscribers on YouTube.
Boyce Avenue has harnessed the power of YouTube to make a name for themselves.
