By now, everyone has heard Happy by Pharrell Williams. The official YouTube video has been viewed half a billion times!
What many people don’t realize is that it was written for the soundtrack to Despicable Me 2. That being said, this video itself has been viewed 72 million times!
At the age of 41, Pharrell Williams has had a banner year or two. Not only did his song Happy become an international sensation, but he was featured on two tracks of a hit Daft Punk album, was nominated for seven Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, and has been collaborating with numerous other artists.
