The Lumineers are one of the best bands today, if you ask me. And they’re slowly getting the same recognition, having written some hits for others, like for Hunger Games.
I really love this song. The single ‘Ho Hey’ received more attention for the band, but I think ‘Stubborn Love’ is at least as good. I love the video of this girl sitting in the back of the car.
The band is based in Denver and have just begun, I hope, to start to make their mark on the music scene.
They have only released one album thus far, self title as The Lumineers, but they earned two Grammy and two Billboard music award nominations for it, including Best New Artist and Best Americana Album.
They truly are an example of American music at it’s best, bringing together sounds that are uniquely American, which is a change of pace from the British invasion that’s be going on recently in the music world.
