I admit that I don’t know the music of OneRepublic very well. However, I really like this song.
Every time I hear it, I find myself getting excited and have to stop myself from dancing.
The Colorado Springs band, I was surprised to learn, has been together since 2002. They managed to make a name for themselves on MySpace, which ultimately led them to a record deal.
‘Counting Stars’ has been one of OneRepublic’s most successful songs, breaking into the top 5 in a vast array of countries. It topped at two in the U.S. last year, while hitting number 1 in Canada and the U.K.
The band has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, among others.
