Ed Sheeran was gaining traction and popularity in Britain and elsewhere, but hadn’t been recognized much in the States.
That began to change when Taylor Swift heard him while touring Australia and asked him to collaborate on a track for her album Red. The rest, they say, is history as he became the opening act for her in late 2013 in support of that album.
Ed Sheeran fully understand the value Taylor Swift brought to his career, even getting a tattoo to commemorate the importance of Red to him.
