Fascinating. Revealing. Emotional. Encouraging. That is just some of the feelings the song TRY sung by Colbie Caillat evokes in me.
Being a woman and going through transformation every single day, this musical video reveals more than just how hard we TRY to live our lives.
Final words of the song announce the truth of what we should focus on:
Take your makeup off,
Let your hair down,
Take a breath.
Look into the mirror at yourself,
Don’t you like YOU?
Once again, Colbie Caillat stays true to herself, allowing nothing to change Who she really is.

I love this video. It is inspiring for who we really are naturally. Thanks for sharing.
This is a beautiful song. I need to listen to it more because there are times I don’t like myself and try to hard.
I love, LOVE the message of the song – the words, but I don’t like the song itself. I guess I would like the actual song better if it was set to a different tune.
This is awesome! We are so much more than just our outward appearance, but I often feel that that’s all we focus on.
She sounds like such an inspirational entertainer! I love the last lines, we really do need to like ourselves as who we are without all the extras.
I’ve really liked this song ever since it came out. I think it has such a great message, and can really teach young girls things.
ooh I Love Colbie Caillat! just found her on Pandora.. thanks for sharing!
Definitely a great message in the song. She has such a beautiful voice too. I really like all of her music that I’ve heard.
i love the message and she really is a great role model for women. i hope more people will find it easier to show their natural beauty. 🙂
I really love Colbie Caillat! All her songs are have such meaning to them. They aren’t like those overplayed silly pop songs. ‘Try’ is one of my favorites <3
This is a really cool music video. I hadn’t heard of this artist until I heard this song. I’ll be on the lookout for her next song.
This is one of my favorite songs this year!! Its not very often that a song will speak to me like this I love this much.
Love this song! So inspirational!
Yes, I love this song! I always listen to this song while working. Keeps me motivated. You just have to try try try. 🙂
She has a nice voice. I hadn’t heard this song before. Thanks for sharing it!
I love the message. I don’t wear my hair down very often. Thank you for sharing.
I totally enjoyed watching this video! what a beautiful message! thanks for sharing.
I’ve seen this video before, and I loved it then, and love it even more now. So much meaning, and the video with it just brings out the emotion and the feelings within.
What a great video. The song has such a good message and sounds great too!
Love her song! And she is just as beautiful as ever!
I have been in love with this song since the first time I heard it, which actually wasn’t Colbie Caillat’s version at all. Reagan sang this song during The Voice this past season, and almost immediately I was looking up the original song. I immediately added it to my starred playlist on Spotify and have been listening to it frequently ever since. It has such an incredible message!
I really love the message of the song. I have never heard about Colbie Cailat, but her voice sounds awesome. This song will be added in my favorite song list for sure. Thanks for sharing.
I like Colbie’s music and this one is no exception – love it – the message of the song is so meaningful in a way as well.
I have been in love with this song ever since I heard it. It’s a beautiful song and the message is so true! Thanks for the post!
Great message for a song. And yes one of our biggest issues, isn’t it? Not liking ourselves.
Such a great song, I love Colbie Caillat! Isn’t she awesome?
I had not heard that song before but am now going to download it. What a great message.
The words of the song do send a positive message, but I don’t like the tune either. I do however like some of her other songs.
I was introduced to her music during the beauty campaign. She is very inspiring.
I love Colbie! and great video .. Thanks for sharing
I love those lyrics too! Younger girls especially need to hear more things like that, rather than the messages they’re given so many times a day now online!
