The movie wasn’t a blockbuster, but it’s sweet and cool and reminiscent of my own Aloha life on the islands.
The soundtrack, though, is really good. But you gotta have a taste for a true Hawaiian song and some blasts from the past. The mixture of different genres of song and instrumentals make this soundtrack original and worth attention.

Songs of Aloha (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) captures much of the film’s evocative island atmosphere via contributions from traditional Hawaiian music legends Genoa Keawe and The Royal Hawaiian Serenaders as well as such masters of the slack-key guitar as Cyril Pahinui, Bobby Ingano, and Ledward Kaapana. Songs of Aloha (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) was Executive Produced by Cameron Crowe.
In Aloha, a celebrated military contractor (Bradley Cooper) returns to the site of his greatest career triumph – the US Space program in Honolulu, Hawaii – and reconnects with a long-ago love (Rachel McAdams) while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog (Emma Stone) assigned to him. Aloha also stars Bill Murray, John Krasinski, Danny McBride, and Alec Baldwin.
