I could be wrong, but I get the feeling that Katy Perry is actually making fun of some of the people that are targeted with this song. She has a couple shout outs to people that go out to clubs on Tuesday nights and are buying expensive drinks with their rent money.
I could be wrong. But I suspect that it’s rather tongue-in-cheek. Those aren’t exactly good qualities to be putting out there. It just seems unlikely that she is actually saluting such actions.
I’m a solid, although not huge, fan of Katy Perry. She definitely seems like an interesting person, which is something I value in artists.
Katy’s real last name is Hudson and the California native is coming up on her 31st birthday. She was married to Russell Brand for a couple of years, a British comedian you would likely recognize and is ten years her senior.
Also, Katy Perry’s social media usage is the stuff of legend. Literally. She was the first person on Twitter to reach 50 million followers and is in the 2015 Guinness World Records as having the most Twitter followers, which is currently at 76.4 million.
