Sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf made some pretty big waves with their first studio album Get Wet in late 2013. Billboard even announced, “Krewella is going to be huge!”
Their music is clearly heavily influenced by various types of electronica, such as dubstep and electro house, but I find that they are at their best without the synthesizers, like this song ‘Alive’.
The Chicago natives were original teamed up with a third member of their group, Kris “Rain Man” Trindl. The three of them decided to give up their day jobs and their schooling to pursue a career in the music industry, making that decision together on June 10, 2010. As a result, all three of them bear a tattoo with that date.
In September of last year, however, Trindl was no longer with them. Unfortunately, this has led to a pair of lawsuits, with Trindl claiming he was wrongly kicked out of the band, while the sisters claimed he had drug and alcohol problems and didn’t really DJ while on stage.
This is such an unfortunate outcome for such a promising group. Nevertheless, hopefully the sisters will continue to produce good music.

sad such troubles happen to groups. Hope it works out.
I hope they can work out all the legal issues. I’ve never heard of this band before today. Thank you for sharing.
Love the song! I love acoustic music. I”m curious to hear some of their electronic music. I hope they work out their legal issues.
It’s a shame they had to disband. Thanks for sharing the video.
I have not heard of this band either. Too bad about the turmoil. I hope it all comes out okay.
