Natasha Bedingfield Has Strong Convictions That Clearly Come From Her Parents

This song has such a simple music video, but it’s so fun! I particularly like the choir! Maybe because that’s my favorite part of the song.

The song has such a nice message for life! Here is a sampling:

Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you

Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Isn’t that great? I love it! Obviously, it’s about living your life to the fullest, recognizing that you can make what you want of it because it’s “unwritten.” The song comes from her debut album by the same name in 2004.

As far as Natasha Bedingfield as a person goes, I didn’t know she was British. Completely missed the boat on that one. Her parents, though, are from New Zealand and work in the international charity sector. This upbringing clearly had a profound impact on how she views the world.

For example, she has not only donated generously to international charity organizations, but using her star power has spent time at orphanages and refugee camps to help raise awareness of conditions there. She said that many people around the world, particularly children, “live in conditions that would horrify us.” She has also worked hard on raising awareness of people enslaved in human trafficking.

Bedingfield was married in 2009 in California and is still married.

Natasha Bedingfield has been an avid advocate for raising the awareness of human trafficking and people living in squalid conditions.
