Walk The Moon Has 1980’s Fun With ‘Shut Up And Dance’

This is a great tune and an even better video. I’m sure you’ve heard this song throughout the Summer, if not well before that, but have you seen the video? It’s fun! It’s a very impressive homage to 1980’s music videos.

The song was written by front man Nicholas Petricca after an night out with his girlfriend in Los Angeles when she basically made him do the same.

I think this song and it’s video are a perfect demonstration of the work of the band, who try to create a lot of fun and energy at their concerts. The song comes from their second studio album, Talking Is Hard.

Walk the Moon is a group of four guys based out of Cincinatti, Ohio. The name of the band comes from the Police song titled, “Walking the Moon,” as the band was trying to mimic their mystery and playfulness.

Lauren Taft is the beautiful and smiley red-haired girl in the video, who appears to be a dancer and choreographer.
